NPD Assistant

Role overview

The post-holder will report to the Technical Manager and will assist in the development of innovative products and the improvement of existing products where necessary.

The NPD Assistant will design innovative products to meet market trends and customer expectations. They will work within a cross-functional team and will have a close relationship with the Technical & Operation Departments and the relevant Account Managers. Our NPD possibilities are endless, and could range from dry powder blends, to liquid syrups/ sauces and more!

Key responsibilities

Continuously develop and introduce new and improved products to meet strategic objectives of the business and expectations of customers.

Help bring new food products to life from concept to launch. You'll work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to develop innovative products, create and refine recipes, conduct trials, source ingredients, and ensure products meet quality, safety and commercial requirements. This fast-paced role combines creativity, technical expertise and project coordination to deliver exciting new products that exceed customer expectations.
 

Key skills & experience

Experience in NPD is essential, with knowledge of ambient stable products, such as powders, syrups and sauces. The ability to manage your own workload and have good time management skills is a must.

Beverage Innovation Executive

Role overview

We're looking for a Beverage Innovation Executive who lives and breathes drinks, flavour, culture and emerging trends. This is a hands-on role for someone who is constantly scanning the horizon for what's next in food, beverage, hospitality and social culture, then turning those insights into standout drinks and dessert concepts using our products. You'll be responsible for creating, testing and refining customer-ready beverage concepts that help customers stay ahead of the market rather than follow it. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working as part of the wider marketing team, you'll work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive, Sales, NPD and technical teams to transform emerging trends into commercial opportunities. You'll attend customer meetings, innovation sessions and sales pitches, bringing concepts, insight and inspiration that help customers win. We're looking for someone with genuine creativity, strong beverage development skills and an obsession with what's happening globally. Someone who understands not only what is trending, but why it's gaining momentum, what consumer behaviours are driving it and what could become the next big menu opportunity. Most importantly, you'll have the confidence to take an idea from insight to finished drink, building concepts that are visually impactful, commercially relevant and ready to create excitement on menus and across social channels.

  • Support digital marketing performance across web, email, SEO, PPC and social channels, using data and insight to optimise results.
  • Work with PR, agency and external partners to increase brand visibility through campaigns, events, partnerships and media opportunities.
  • Create customer-facing presentations, sales tools and marketing materials that support commercial objectives and customer growth.

You'll be responsible for building your own pipeline, generating new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, presenting solutions, attending industry events and acting as an ambassador for both Bold Foods and the SIMPLY brand. We're looking for someone with excellent communication and commercial skills, a passion for the food and drink industry, and a proactive approach to achieving results. Working with our CRM system to manage leads and opportunities, you'll play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business while developing your own successful sales career.

Occasional travel to our factory in March, Cambridgeshire.

This hands-on role combines account management, customer service, sales support and order administration, with responsibility for managing a portfolio of B2B customer accounts. As the day-to-day contact for your customers, you’ll build strong relationships, identify growth opportunities, recommend products and ensure a smooth experience from enquiry to order. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations, you’ll help retain and grow accounts, support revenue growth and deliver exceptional customer service that creates lasting customer value.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of B2B customer accounts, acting as the primary day-to-day point of contact.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships that support long-term customer loyalty and growth.
  • Conduct regular customer check-ins and account reviews to understand needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Monitor account activity, identify at-risk customers and support retention plans where needed.
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service across every interaction.

Key skills & experience

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service or a similar customer-facing commercial role, with strong communication skills and the confidence to build lasting relationships with B2B customers. You’ll be highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, is essential, along with experience using Sage 200 or a similar order processing system. Most importantly, you’ll bring a proactive, positive attitude and the confidence to take ownership, engage customers and drive results.
