Sheldon and Ricky are at the heart of Bold Foods. Their shared passion for innovation and quality is what the business is built on. That’s why we've transitioned from IBC Simply to Bold Foods - it epitomises what we're about.

Foodies favour the Bold since 1992

1992
After selling his previous food manufacturing business, Sheldon discovered flavoured syrups at a UK theme park on a coffee cart and thought it could be his next venture.

1993
The American Beverage Company was born, importing flavoured syrups to the UK and selling to food service - at the time with one delivery van!

Late 1990s
Syrups started to take off in the UK market, especially as Starbucks launched in the UK in 1998.

2004
Italian Beverage Company was born, and we expanded into new categories to drive growth.

2008
SIMPLY was born. With business booming, Sheldon knew with his expertise he could create and manufacture his own brand.

2009 - 2018
We grew in our knowledge and expertise, and started to establish ourselves as flavour experts and innovators.

2019
With both businesses now merged under Italian Beverage Company but the majority of product being produced in the UK, the company evolved to reflect our own brand.
2020
2020 - 2023
Despite a pandemic, we emerged strongly and drove huge growth over this five year period, demonstrating our customer-centric approach and driving continuous growth through people and product during this time.
Bold move
2023 - 2024
IBC Simply acquire March Foods to enhance capability and production and drive growth. Delightful Food Group is born as a parent company to both businesses, to bring together the expertise of the two teams.

It's time for our brand to reflect our business; Bold Foods does that. We are BOLD. We're always looking at what's next, taking bold decisions, how we improve, developing products that meets need and demand, and growing our customer's businesses as we grow ours.
